Your Journey To Better Vision
Home visits ensure you or a loved one can still receive high-quality eye care even when travel is difficult. We’re here to support independence, comfort and peace of mind with a service designed around your needs and circumstances.
A practical solution when getting to the practice isn’t possible.
If you are unable to attend the practice due to disability or illness, we can arrange to visit you at home. Our approach is gentle, respectful and patient-led, with time to discuss your concerns and answer questions clearly.
All eye examinations are FREE of charge in Scotland.
What happens during a home eye exam?
A detailed, reassuring check that puts your comfort first.
We will bring all the equipment required to carry out your examination at home. Your optometrist will ask about your general health, your vision and any difficulties you’ve noticed recently.
We will then complete a thorough assessment, including a detailed examination of the back of your eye and checks of your eye pressures where appropriate.
Dispensing Your Glasses
Frames and lens options to suit every budget chosen at home.
If new glasses are recommended, we can help you choose from a wide selection of frames during your home visit. We carry a broad range of styles and budgets, with packages starting from £49 complete with lenses.
If you are entitled to an NHS optical voucher, this can be used towards the cost of your glasses. Your optometrist will also advise on the most suitable lenses based on your prescription and day-to-day needs.
Delivery And Fitting
We make sure everything feels right before we leave.
Once your glasses are ready, the practice will contact you to arrange a convenient date and time for delivery. We’ll check your vision is comfortable and that your new frames fit correctly, making any adjustments needed so you feel confident straight away.
